Screening Policy for Employees and Volunteers

Avila screens all its staff and volunteers, including parents, who have contact with the children. Prior to interacting with the children, Avila Child Care Center has in its possession documentation from: 

1. State of Michigan Comprehensive Background Check (CCBCS)
2, Criminal History Check (ICHAT) 
3. Health Appraisal Clearance (free from communicable diseases)
